Lake Silver Elementary School

Extended Day

Purpose:
Lake Silver Elementary School offers supervision and a variety of activities for children in kindergarten through the fifth grade. The staff and students create an environment of learning and fun. The Program is supported by those using its services. Daily activities include homework time, free play, arts & crafts, computers and organized structured games. The hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Safety:
Children in the program are carefully supervised. Parents or guardians must sign their children out of the Extended Day Enrichment Program. Children may be released to persons authorized by the parents. Parental authorization may be in writing or by phone using a pre-arranged code word. Persons not recognized by the staff will be asked to show identification. Special instructions pertaining to a child's care should be given in writing to the site coordinator. Each Extended Day Enrichment Program has a direct telephone number for emergency communications.

Homework Time:
Homework time is provided for children in 2nd-5th grades. We have homework time for 45 minutes a day Monday through Thursday. Children are expected to bring the necessary supplies with them to complete their homework (i.e. pencils, paper, books). Staff members are available to assist children who need help. If a child does not have homework he/she needs to bring a book to read.

Fees:
All fees are per child and due no later than Wednesday of each week.
